Privacy Indicator¶

Status¶

As far as I know there aren’t any critical bugs in Privacy Indicator.

But there still may be some bugs or other problems. If you find one please file a bug report

Requirements¶

Privacy Indicator needs the “Unity” desktop environment.

It needs the following Ubuntu packages:

• python3 (>= 3.6)

• python3-zeitgeist

• gir1.2-appindicator3-0.1

• gir1.2-glib-2.0

• gir1.2-gtk-3.0

• gir1.2-glib-2.0

• python3-gi

• python3-xdg

• python3-pkg-resources

• unity (>=7.0)

If you install the .deb package from the PPA this packages are automatically installed.

Download¶

Privacy Indicator is available from the PPA (“Personal Package Archive”) ppa:diesch/stable for all current versions of Ubuntu. If you add this PPA to your software sources Ubuntu’s Update manager will automatically install newer versions of Privacy Indicator when they are available.

After you installed Privacy Indicator it will be started automatically when you next log in.

To start Privacy Indicator from the command line use the command indicator-privacy.

Icon¶

The icon of Privacy Indicator is based on an icon from the Gemicon icon set by Turqois.
